Shiatsu
What is Shiatsu?
Shiatsu is a very nurturing, nourishing treatment that takes place on a futon on the floor. The person receiving shiatsu remains clothed, or is covered by a sheet.
Shiatsu is a therapeutic form of acupressure, muscle meridian stretching and corrective exercises derived from Japan. Shiatsu involves applying pressure to the body using a practitioner’s thumbs, palms, elbows, knees and feet.
And at times it can feel like a cat walking on your back. 🙂
